Dr. John Claude Shaffer, MD

Dr Shaffer is an excellent and professional doctor. I was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer in 1998. He saw me immediately and did my surgery within days. He was kind and took the time to discuss my diagnosis and my options. At the time he didn't think I needed radiation, but during my surgery he found that I had lymph notes that looked fine but actually were not. He removed those and then I had additional tests. Needless to say I did have to do radiation. If he had not done a through job I would not be here today. He is the most caring doctor I have had along with my Gyn, Dr Kintner. I highly recommend him and think of him often. He is a gifted doctor.

This is a long past due review. Dr. Shaffer is an amazing person and physician. He is kind, professional and treated me like I was his only patient. I was quite young to be experiencing the problems I had which resulted in surgery, and was terrified. Dr. Shaffer explained everything in detail including all my available options. He took time to understand me and my specific family history which influenced my plan of care. His nurse was also wonderful. I could not have been in better hands. What a blessing Dr. Shaffer is to his patients and his profession!
