Extreme caring. Great with my child. Very knowledgeable.

My son's doctor used Dr. Shepherd at Tejas Anesthesia. I specifically asked that they get pre-authorization (like many people, I've been caught on this in the past). I was assured that all pre-autos had been received. Then sure enough I get a bill from Tejas Anestesia (Dr. Shepherd) for $541.58. Insurance denied not the surgery procedure, but the anesthesia used as not medically necessary. Of course my son's Doctor blames the Anesthesiologist and the Anesthesiologist blames the Doctor (which I find suspect). In the end, they messed up, billed me and refused to correct the situation. Immediately threatened to send to collection, which they did. I even offered to pay a partial amount (perhaps what they would have gotten if the insurance did pay for the right anesthesia. Needless to say, avoid this doctor and Tejas Anesthesia or you too could end up with a big fat unjust bill.
