Dr. John C. Shershow, MD

Dr. Shershow was very warm and professional. If you need someone to talk to about all your issues--that is what a therapist is for. From what I can tell he focuses mainly on medication based treatment plans. He is very knowledgeable and well educated and told me things about the medication I have been taking for over 6 months that I never knew before. He definitely is quick in and out as long as you show up on time. The office is clean and comfortable. Overall I had a very positive experience at Dr. Shershow's office and would recommend him to anyone who is interested in treating something with prescription drugs.

To start wait time was minimal, he says it out of the gate "if you are be on time or you are going to wait". Dr Shershow is extremely well rounded and knowledgable (not only in his field). We talked for almost 45 minutes, he is very warm with his approach. Highly recommend him.

Rude, inconsiderate - same for the staff. You’re not a human being to him, it’s just dollars. Don’t walk, run!

This doctor is very rude, unprofessional, arrogant, uncompassionate, and his listening skills are non-existent. He is a bully, puts vulnerable patients in danger if they dare to question him, and in some cases, threatens them.

I am giving this charlatan a star only because I have to select one. This is the most immoral doctor I've bumped into in my life. This doctor is only interested in money and certainly does not give care about his patients. I saw him once for 15 minutes and have a bill that amounts to a total of $400. This is a drug pusher, interested in medicating only, and rushes patients out of his office while charging them for a full session. I made a follow up appointment with this Doctor and called in to change the date within 23 hours of the appointment date. I was informed that I had failed to call within the 24 hour window and was charged $155 for a missed appointment (which I foolishly immediately paid). I informed his office I would not be able to come in for another week and that I needed my prescription refilled since I was running out. I was informed that I needed to pay for an additional full appointment before getting a refill (in other words an additional refill fee). … This is what I call a drug dealer. Never-mind that he was placing a patient's health at risk by not refilling an anti-depression medication without a hefty charge. It isn't that he was interested in seeing me in person to see how I was doing with the medication. It was just about getting money. His office even informed me I could pick up the prescription without seeing him as I paid $155. Stay far far away.

I had a bad feeling about this guy and was proven correct. He stopped taking my insurance and did not bother to tell me. He also told me to "insist" that my insurance send him my prior authorization form because "he doesnt have time to be on phone with them". Uhmm...thats why you have a secretary. My inusrance said they could only send form if requested by Dr. so basically I was screwed and this guy couldnt care less. He is terrible and is only interested in your money. Rude, condesending and overall bad apple. See someone else.

He was a fine doctor until I got confused about my prescription refills, when I called to clarify he spoke to me in such a rude and condescending tone I still can't believe it. Skip him. He just wants your money. You deserve a better doctor.

This doctor only cares about taking your money. He claimed his biller could not get through to his insurance and I would have to pay for my visits yet he was in-network doctor. His Biller is out of state and has no clue what she is doing. She was billing the wrong part of my insurance. He also tried to charge me a 100 dollars for a missed visit on a day I did not have an appointment. Do not see him!
