He comes in, treats you as a nuisance, and then sends you at $1,000 bill for his five minutes. Now you want to know why healthcare keeps going up?

Dr. Silverman's quality of care is shameful. I’m embarassed for him. I have chronic problems with my liver and pancreas. St. Marks is a fantastic hospital overall, but this doc has got to go. Everyone who knows me at the hospital knows what I need and what needs to happen when I come into the ER. This idiot comes in my room while I’m on the verge of passing out from the pain and says to me in the most annoying, condescending tone “awwww I’ve heard a lot about you. You’re pretty sick huh? Tell me what you want me to give you buuuuuut just as long as it’s not narcotics” ... if I wasn’t so sick at the time this guy would’ve caught hands from me. I was in the ER screaming and moaning in pain waiting to be admitted for 5 hours and he refused to give me pain meds. The charge nurse, my actual nurse, my GI, everybody was doing everything they could to convince this guy to get me out of pain, but he absolutely resisted no matter what. When I got up to the floor the hospitalist took one look at… me and ordered dilauded and morphine around the clock. Hope your ego was nice and stroked Silverman. It must be hard to be so senile you have to get your ego boost from a chronically ill 24 year old girl
