Dr. John James Slatosky JR., DO

I recently terminated my health care from Slatosky due to questionable care. He prescribed me several medications that were black box drugs. One antibiotic that he prescribed landed me in the ER. Another medicine caused excessive ringing in the ears. He knew that I could only hear in one ear and this was one of the side effects. Evidently he did not read my background information I filled out on day one. He prescribed another medicine and the pharmacist also said it would cause ringing in the ears. So I did not take it and told Slatosky. He got mad that I asked the pharmacist. I should have the right to ask a pharmacist about my medicines. The pharmacist ask you that every time you pick up medicines. With Slatosky's track record of prescribing medicines, I should be able to check on what he was giving me. He asked me why am I still coming to him if I can't trust him. I have since gone to another doctor and was immediately taken off one of Slatosky's medications. One drug… he prescribed that I stopped on my own. Blood sugars still good and lost 20 lbs. Proof I was being over medicated. Can you say polypharmacy? He never followed up on any medicines or talked to me on any type of plan for taking that many medicines. He made decisions on my health without discussing with it with me. He would call in a medicine and tell me to start taking it. No explanations. The whole time going to him, he never checked my blood pressure himself. He just took the word of what the nurses said. That is just being lazy not double checking knowing of my high blood pressure and medicines. I reached the point in asking what had Slatosky actually done to improve my health. The answer and conclusion I found was absolutely NOTHING! Lastly, I really did not appreciate you campaigning for your wife in the exam room during my exam visit. You showed more interest in her getting elected than my health issues. Slatosky, you were right, why would I want to come back knowing you got upset by me asking questions? I no longer had any trust his medical decisions. Sorry I bruised your fragile ego asking questions. Noticed you were only referred to as Slatosky. There was a reason why.

Dr. John was very attentive and staff was very nice and helpful.

I have never felt so comfortable with a doctor as I do Dr Slatosky. He is so compassionate and is very thorough. The staff are the best too. The atmosphere is very relaxing and no stress is put on the patient. I hope he stays in practice for many years. Good man...good doctor

He banned me and kicked me out as his patient, because i wanted to get a second opinion. It is sad that any doctir would do that.

I love my experience with Dr.Slatosky.He listens, jokes with you, makes you feel welcome. The staff is exceptionally nice. I have no complaints. Keep up the great work. He is definitely how every doctor should be.
