Dr. John Evans Stavrakos, MD

Dr. John Stavrakos is pushing Prolotherpy / nerve blocks which is not covered by my medicare insurance.To me, It is a controversial treatment and often does not work and in some cases cause more problems than good. I explained to his staff that I had absolutely no pain in my feet just numbness but they insisted wanting to treat me for pain. The local news paper ,The State in Columbia,SC reported that his office infected 3 people with dirty needles and one of them died as a result.I would not recommend doing business with Vitalaty medical center at all.

I drove for 1.5 hours to keep my appointment with Dr. Stavrakos, he did not even greet me. He sent his assistant in. He was late due to traffic. I had requested with his scheduler to see him, I brought x-rays, and he was a no show. Extremely unprofessional. Do you want a Dr. like that. I do not. he should be reprimanded by his group. This will cast doubt on their professional care. Is money the prime object at this location or patient care. J.L. Hibbert

Dr. Stavrkos's office and clean, the staff were kind and I only waited a little longer than I thought I would. play soccer regularly and often need to work on my knees and ankles form past surgeries. The doctor always has the best suggestions and options, I would go here for personal care and range of services

Dr. Stravrakos is by far, the most positive, respectful, empowering physician that I have ever been treated by in my years of seeing physicians. He listened, tested, examined me, found the problem, and to this day, I am living, for the most part, pain free.
