I had a terrific first time meeting with the doctor. He was right on time (actually, early) and we spent some quality time going over my past medical history. Bedside manner were tops!

I have been looking for a good internIst fir several months. I have a complex medical issues that needs expert care and a willingness to listen to what I have to say. Unfortunately my case requires a lot of coordination of care and it is hard to find a doctor willing and able to take me on as a patient. Well I am so relieved that I finally found Dr John! He listens, has a great bedside manner and even my specialists are surprised how well he undertands my disease and how willing he is to coordinate with them. I do have to wait uP to s half hour at times but it is worth it.

I was referred by a friend about an alarming new problem and the staff and the doctor made me feel very comfortable. He diagnosed me correctly and made a phone call on my behalf to get me in to see a specialist right away.His nurse was excellent and drew my blood in one easy stick. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I was referred to Dr. John Stavrakos by another physician based upon blood test results which showed anomalies. Upon my arrival, the receptionist was arguing loudly with another patient on the phone, with no regard for those in the waiting room. 35 minutes beyond my appointment time Dr. Stavarakos reviewed test results stating that the variations were "no big deal", but without offering any explanation. However, at my urging he agreed to rerun the blood tests. A nurse, who was not wearing gloves, attempted several times to draw blood; a second nurse was also unsuccessful at collecting a blood sample, but left a large hematoma on each arm. I departed without providing the blood sample. Dr. Stavrakos staff was to call in a prescription for me; a month has passed, and staff has not done so.

Dr. Stavrakos practices medicine the way it should be! He is an excellent physician, always up to date on the latest information. Just as important, he really listens to his patients, takes the time to get to know them, and works hard to get the best possible results. His office staff is friendly and helpful, too!
