Dr. John Edward Stecklow, MD

We lucked out in finding Dr. Stecklow. He happened to be the on call doctor when our oldest son was born. He is so wonderful with the boys. He always takes time to make them feel comfortable and play with them a bit before their exams. He is very thorough and always makes sure he has answered all my questions before he finishes and has never made me feel like I'm asking a stupid one even when I do. He remembers things about our older child and comments how he sees that in our younger ones like the way they pronounce words, their posture, and facial expressions. He really makes me feel like he remembers my kids even when he only sees them once or twice a year. He is rarely overbooked from my experience. We have never had to spend long in the waiting room before we are moved back to one of the wonderfully themed rooms. (My boys' favorite is the outer space room.) The staff is pleasant and don't make me feel rushed or like I'm bothering them. That's quite a feat for someone to… make me feel that way. The only downside is that they don't hound you with reminder cards, emails, or calls. You have to be on top of your schedule. It's not their fault, it's completely mine but I have missed many appointments because I forget when they were scheduled. I would, and frequently do, recommend Dr. Stecklow to anyone with kids looking for the absolute best pediatrician in Oklahoma City!

We have used stecklow for five years and wouldn’t want anyone else! He does an amazing job with our girls and really cares for the kids.

I love Dr. Stecklow! I have been taking my son to him since he was born and he is now almost 3 years old. Dr. Stecklow is always very thorough and always plays with him, every time we visit. As a new mom, he has never made me feel dumb when I bring my child in with concerns.

Dr. Stecklow is an amazing doctor and a really good person. He takes the time to figure out what is going on with the kids and he develops a connection with them as well, always speaking to them and asking about school, etc. Both of my kids adore him and I know I can always count on him to get to the bottom of whatever is going on when the kids are sick.

We love Dr. Stecklow. He has great bed side mannor. He came to see us all three days we were in the hospital. He is funny and is able to communicate in a way that is easy for new mothers who may be frazzled to understand. He is calm and watches situations that may need further treatment but does not scare you prematurely. He is all around a great doctor.

My son is three and Dr Stecklow has been his doctor since birth. I absolutely LOVE this office! The staff is friendly and Dr Stecklow is the absolute best with our son. He is funny and has a great demeanor, which helps keep my son at ease during appointments. He truly cares and takes the time to talk through any questions I may have. I've recommended him in the past and will continue to do so!

I have told everyone I know about Dr. Stecklow. I have never had to wait longer than five minutes for our appt. Dr. Stecklow himself will occasionally answer the phone in the mornings or sometimes even come call for your child in the waiting room. He is timely and explains everything. He is also funny with my kids. My 2 year old loves going to see "Dr. Sterklow." Seriously, he's the best!!

We love Dr. Stecklow! I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes to get in to an appointment. I always arrive about 10 minutes early and they usually get me right in. The office is decorated with colorful, themed rooms, to keep kids entertained. Dr. Stecklow is always very thorough and makes sure he answers all my questions and concerns. He is very quick and to the point ( still very friendly ) but at the same time he doesn't just rush out without addressing the purpose of the appointment-I hope that makes sense! When my baby girl gets her shots they do it quickly that way she doesn't have time to get more anxious, etc. We are very pleased with the Dr. we chose to care for our baby.

Hardly any wait time in the office any time I go...but still quality care and attention from the doc!
