Dr. John Thomas Steedman JR., MD

I recently visited Dr Steedman for a follow up appointment because two of my stitches had worked their way through the skin. Dr. Sttedman greatest me with the same kindness, warmth and professionalism that I have always experienced from him and appreciate. He took care of the issue with the stitches with great care and skill, putting me at ease through the entire visit. It is great comfort to not only have a doctor that does an outstanding job but also makes you feel genuinely cared for. Dr. Steedman consistently goes above and beyond for his patients and I am truly greatful for his compassion and dedication to his patients.

I went to Dr. Steedman to have him look at my right knee. We discussed steroid injections. I have been through them before and it only helped for a week or two. We came to a decision to replace the right knee. I was worried because I had the left knee replaced by a different surgeon 10 years ago and the procedure didn’t go well. I had scar tissue build up and went back into surgery to have it broken up and then back to Physical Therapy. I explained all the things I went through with the left knee and was worried about the same issues with the right knee. He said they have different techniques and he would make sure I don’t have the same issues. I had the surgery on 8/10/26 and I was off pain meds by week 2 of recovery. I did so much better with this knee replacement. I would recommend Dr. Steedman to anyone he needs a compassionate doctor.

I had a great visit with Dr. Steedman today. He has been my orthopedic surgeon for years, including performing my previous knee surgery, and I’ve always appreciated how straightforward, thorough, and personable he is. He took the time to review my concerns, answer all of my questions, explain my current knee condition and treatment options, and never made me feel rushed. I especially appreciate that he doesn’t speculate—he tells you what he knows, what he doesn’t know, and gives you practical advice based on the evidence. He genuinely cares about his patients and stays current with new medical research and technology. I have a lot of trust and respect for Dr. Steedman and would highly recommend him.

When I booked my appt I said it was for Both knees &yet when I got in, they said there was only 1shot Available & they didn’t know if I’d had X-rays on both knees! They knew I had X-rays on my Left knee &one would think they would’ve ordered X-rays of my right Before my appt! I love Dr Steedman but something’s way off with communication in the office! (And my husband took time off of work to drive me, in case I couldn’t drive myself home!) I’ll be back but I hope things are aligned better next time ??

Dr. Steedman performed both right and left total knee replacements (1 year apart). He was very professional and thorough in his explanation of the surgical process and recovery. Yes, I would refer him to others.

It was very informative. I was in and out. The communication skills were on point.

Very friendly as he explained what to expect during and after the procedure. Put any concerns I had to rest. Took time with me and my wife, answered all our questions putting us at ease. Looking forward to him performing my knee replacement surgery. Joe and Joanne

Doctor is very pleasant in his manerism, answered all my questions and he offered reasons why we will proceed with the best procedure we discussed.

Dr. Steedman replaced my left knee first & a few months later my right knee. I am 85 years young & never expected to outlive my knees! Fortunately, I did & am feeling so much better & more stable for doing so. Still working on my core & balance in PT...but so happy I did it. Dr. Steedman is the best & i would highly recommend him!! Both visits the staff from checking in to vitals checked to Xray techs were all friendly, kind, and truly helpful. And answered numerous, to them I’m sure, were repeated not always pertinent questions without pause and in smiling kind words. The doctors had stage set and finished things by making me comfortable even with horrifying news, but with realistic and good news solutions. After waiting 50+ yrs for this news I was actually feeling excited but more importantly, hopeful for first time.
