Dr. John Andrew Steers, MD

I went into Carrol County hospital for a herniated umbilical repair. Dr Steers and his team were great. As a food safety manager I noticed the procedures taken to avoid any human error. I was in and out same day and I cannot say enough good words for the experience. I recommend Dr Steers to anyone. Also he remembered me even though there was 8 months between my first visit and the surgery.

Dr Steers is a fine gentleman besides being a fine surgeon and doctor. He is even up on how to take care of a patient that has a medical problem. I had a pretty bad case of cellulitis and Dr Steers treated me for it for 48 hours in the hospital. I was supposed to have a very impportant surgery that day, but Dr. Steers ordered me to be fed with IVs and that took the infection away and I was okayed for having my surgery soon after that.

I had my gallbladder removed by Dr. Steers. I was amazed at how quickly I recovered and had minimal pain. Dr. Steers also has a very pleasant bedside manner.

After calling at the end of the suggested waiting time for my pathology results, (not having heard from the office) I was told that my results are in but that Dr. Steers had not signed off on them yet and was gone for the day. No one could tell me whether or not I have cancer, even though they had the information; need to endure another sleepless night first. Hope he has a great vacation.
