Dr. John David Steichen, MD

Dr. Steichen did an amazing job with my back surgery which provided me instant pain relief as promised. He is caring and explains everything making it easy to understand.

I should of listened to my wife who cancelled the appointment and then turned around threatening they would cut off all "narcotics " if I didn't proceed with the surgery. Well I did proceed.. Ended up with mrsa that I have been fighting off and on for 10 years. The "1990" style surgery as one of the best neurosurgeons in the area put it.. Along with the mrsa has caused me to under probably 30 surgeries to fix this But have ended up losing my kidneys (starting dialysis next week) moving to NC to be under the specialized care of unc and duke..have to poop in a bag.. This is just ridiculous. I could of lived without this surgery he pushed on me. It started off 2 weeks recovery, then it turned into 6 weeks no work, months no work, and now I'm on disability . So please If you can walk and deal with the pain do not go to this Hackjob. Or if you really need surgery get other opinions. I wish I had a time machine I really do

Straight shooter

I would recommend Dr. Steichen to anyone. He is an incredible surgeon. Coming from NYC we get spoiled. My surgery went perfect. He went to Harvard Medical School and worked a Mass General. He explained everything to me what he was going to do. I healed perfectly. He is also related to the famous photographer of the 20th century , Edward Steichen.

This Dr. is absolutely awesome. There's not a bad word to be said about him, his staff, scheduling. or an accurate diagnosis.

I love Dr. Steichen. He is brilliant and has a great bedside manner.

Dr. John Steichen made me feel very comfortable and at ease from the moment we sat down and we went over my x ray results. He explained to me why and what was going to take place. His assistant and office staff members were equally as nice and answered any questions i had. He has performed two spinal surgery on myself. I highly recommend him for anyone needing any of his services.

Wonderful Dr. The surgery he did on me has made a huge difference in my life. He is kind, caring and listens well. I was totally prepared in advance by his staff regarding what to expect from my surgery. All staff are pleasant and helpful. Follow up care is about the only downfall with this practice. I would definitely recommend this Dr. to everyone without a doubt!!!

Dr. Steichen is the most caring and professional doctor I have ever had. Not only did he perform a great surgery, he even diagnosed that I had hypothyroidism while in the hospital and connected be to a endocrinologist. I highly recommend him and have sent several people there already!
