Why do Dr’s think their time is more valuable then everybody else’s. Waited 20 minutes and left.

After waiting for over 2 months to get in to see Dr. Stracks, my visit was disappointing. I had high hopes that he'd have some insight to help with my autoimmune thyroid. I understand he didn't have a benchmark because my thyroid levels were in "normal" range, but he never offered to test me further. Later, I found I was incredible iodine deficient among other things. He basically asked me, "What is it you want me to do for you?" I guess that is why I came to see him so that he could figure that out. I do not recommend this doctor.

Following a thyroid cancer diagnosis 6 yrs ago, I have been seen by the top endocrinologists at Mayo & MD Anderson. I have had continued digestion issues & fatigue for years. Dr. Stracks is the first one to check my T3 and my T4. I feel like he will finally help get me back to normal. How refreshing to find someone that finds the problems and doesn't just brush off the problem or mask it. Busy practice but WELL worth the wait!!

Dr. Stracks is an exemplary physician. He is a caring man who listens to my concerns, instructs me in areas where I have questions, and then empowers me to make informed decisions regarding my health. He does all of this in a gentle, focused way...so much so that I have related things to him that I've never said to anyone in my life. I am healing, and he is my facilitator. What a wonderful partnership!! In a world where feelings of trust and mutuality are rare, I feel blessed to have found him.

I needed a new approach to my health care after years of being over prescribed medications and still not feeling well. My search for an Integrative Doctor led me to Dr. Stracks. My health has improved tremendously thanks to being properly treated for my thyroid disorder and discovering food intolerances. I'm now being treated as a whole person rather than just receiving medications for symptoms. With Dr. Stracks, I have a partner who is guiding me along the path to good health.

Doctor Stracks is, hands down, one of the finest physicians in the country. He successfully does what so many physicians fail to do: He listens closely to his patients and treats the patient as an individual rather than a type or a conglomeration of lab tests and data. He is warm, highly intelligent, extremely kind (and also quite funny). He welcomes questions and responds promptly to them. He has an excellent grounding in Western medicine and yet his fluid thinking and openness to other approaches help him provide his patients with varied options for medical care. On a personal note, his work with me to help me overcome my chronic pain has changed my life. I am thankful everyday that I managed to find a physician who thinks about chronic pain psychologically instead of merely prescribing a new set of pills. He has helped me to see my body as capable of great healing instead of on the verge of collapse. I cannot recommend Dr. Stracks highly enough.

Dr. Stacks is a very bright doctor and is well versed at thinking outside the box as well as holding an in depth knowledge base of traditional "western" medicine. While he leans more toward the holistic approach, an absolute plus in my book, it's also comforting to know that you're being seen by an exceptionally smart MD at the same time. In that sense, I feel nothing sort of "traditional" illness wise is getting overlooked, which is sometimes a valid fear with a more natural approach to healing. Highly recommend.

Dr. Stracks has a number of exceptional traits that make him so much better than any other treating physician with whom I've worked: he carefully listens, and he truly cares. Sure, he orders necessary tests and prescribes necessary medications. But he also asks a million questions, starting from the beginning, often challenging my assumptions, and making me think. He looks out for my health expenses, helps me avoid unnecessary procedures, and helps me make the right treatment decisions. Compared to other doctors, Dr. Stracks comes from a different perspective. Going to see him is like seeing an MD and psychologist at the same time; I feel he gives equal attention to my medical and psychological/emotional needs. That, to me, make him an exceptional physician.

Dr. Stracks is an amazing physician. I have found him to be incredibly clever when it came to identifying the source of my health issues. I went to countless practitioners about my chronic pain condition before I found Dr. Stracks and had never received the quality of care that he provides. Dr. Stracks is very knowledgable but it is clear he also cares very much about his patients. His treatment is not limited to an office visit, as he is very accessible via email. I always feel comfortable contacting him with any questions that arise. It is because of him that I am now healthy and happy and pain free and I would encourage anyone seeking a practitioner to definitely make an appointment to see Dr. Stracks.
