Dr. John Samuel Straus, MD

Very disappointed with Dr. Straus. Not impressed with his level of professionalism. He is knowledgeable about natural remedies, but not knowledgeable about medical conditions. He's also not good about following up with blood work/test results. Not funny when you are waiting for results and it takes him a month to mail them to you.

Dr. Straus is a brilliant diagnostician. He listens carefully and allows time for questions - in the office visit. He got to the root of my health problem and offered me solutions that worked. I trust his insight and skill in knowing where to look for causes how health gets de-railed and how to get it back.Problem: his hours are quite limited and he is not usually accessible outside of the office visit. Also, he's expensive, if you don't have some insurances. I think this works against him - I wish he would consider less restrictive barriers regarding the average patient's needs and rights for follow up questions and contact outside of appointments. Still, I highly recommend him for his skill- when you do get in to see him. I have high regard for his ability to truly help people. I limit my visits (expense) and, overall, am very glad to have him as an excellent physician.
