Dr. John N Sweeney, DO

Dr. Sweeney is not someone that I would recommend for anyone. He is only interested in making money and does not care about his patients or their input. I tried to tell him I was allergic to an antibiotic and he insisted I still take it. He charges extra for everything. I needed my records faxed to a cardiologist for a serious heart condition and it took them 2 weeks to fax them and they charged me $30. When I realized how terrible he is, I found a new doctor and he charged me over $50 to get my records. That is just terrible. He obviously does not care about his patients at all. I have never had a doctor charge me for records. When I asked about it the secretary gave me a print out stating in FL they are allowed to charge for records. Dr. Sweeney, just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD. Have some common courtesy and decency for your patients.

Worst doctor ever...... DR. John Sweeney of Rockledge. Think twice before becoming s new patient . If you like a doctor who insults, be -Little’s and doesn’t care what you have to say , then Dr.John Sweeney is your guy ! BEWARE.... I have been his patient for about 2 years now and tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but NO more.Hes generally just a terrible person who really needs to enjoy his life’s sometimes and leave his attitude and condescending attitude and terrible bed side Manor at home.

The doctor is most unpleasant, authoritarian, pedantic and seems barely competent. Demands unnecessary scans and frequent venipuncture and many more appointments than are needed for patients who are not even sick just getting primary care. He never addressed my one complaint which was back pain. For my back pain he offered nothing, no referral to a chiropractor, neurosurgeon, not even Physical Therapy, he just said, "Don't take Motrin" That was easy for him to say, wasn't it? Because he isn't in pain.

I saw this doctor a couple of times, several years ago, when I was trying to get established with a new pcp. I arrived 10 mins late for my first appt ONLY because he apparently had a previous office and this is what came up for my Google GPS search. I apologized immediately when I met him and explained what happened but he still kept shaking his head with a look of total annoyance. I then provided detailed info about my medical background, so he could be fully aware of my health bio. He then had the audacity to shake his head AGAIN and tell me that I was quite "histrionic", which means attention seeking etc!! This man did not know me from Adam but decided it was ok to insult me when I was nothing but kind to him! He was rude, insulting and seemed more concerned about receiving payment up front and the scheduling of my next appt., so he could get paid again! Big jerk and I would forewarn anyone thinking of seeing him to seriously reconsider!!

What a waste of my time.

Recently established as a new patient with Dr. Sweeney. Nice facility and friendly staff. Dr. Sweeney is very thorough and took the necessary time to go over my past medical history etc... I like that you can get most testing done right in his office which is a big convenience. Would definitely recommend Dr. Sweeney to anyone looking for a physician who takes time with his patients.

Terrible bedside manner, abrupt and rude. Irritable when entering room. Did not want to take extra time to talk and explain.

There is no doubt that Dr Sweeney is the best Diagnostic Doctor out there. But business is business and he gets the job done, the best way and he is not making a fortune out of it.

I have been a patient of this doctor for over 8 years. I at first found him to be a little gruff but after asking around about him and seeing him for routine visits, foung him to be very pleasent and easy to talk to. He has a military background and I think he is just a serious man who takes things to heart;after what he did for me though, I could care less if he was as likeable as Scrooge!About 2 months ago I thought I hurt my shoulder and while only at Dr. Sweeney's for a supposed "routine visit" he took the time to listen to my complaint. As a doctor should-he asked questions,examined me and came up with a plan. Little did I know that his plan included a chest x ray. I thought at first I was just going to get the usual cocktail of pills and thought, "Why a chest xray for a sore shoulder?" Why I doubted this man I dont know but as it turned out my shoulder pain was from a tumor on my lung! For now it looks like it hasnt spread to other parts of my body and I can have it cured with… surgery. Had Dr. Sweeny not thought about it I might be looking at a poor chance at life. I owe him my life. He's a great doctor who takes his time and listens;thank god he did that day. I recommend him to everyone.
