Dr. John David Temple, MD

This provider has an extensive background in Ortho shoulder surgery. I have significant pain, age, activity related in my right shoulder. What I received at OC was a extended wait followed by a rushed assessment of my shoulder condition and zero follow up. This doctor reportedly, has years of specialized training and experience. I got the “ hurry up” service instead of a caring, professional. This doctor seemingly could not have cared less about my over all health issues (NO SLEEP) as a result of my shoulder pain. Just get me out of the office! Next patient! Horrible medical care for a senior in need of proper diagnosis and follow on care.

Dr. Temple was my wife's second opinion for knee pain which her other orthopedic doctor continued to diagnose as runner's knee after an x-ray, MRI and 3 visits. Even though wife's was experiencing significant knee pain and weight loss. Dr. Temple noted something was off and to x-ray of her hip. Turns out he found a tumor on her femur which was projecting its pain to the knee. Wife is now in the process of cancer treatment.

Dr. Temple did shoulder surgery on my right shoulder. He repaire a torn labrum, rotator cuff and biceps tendon. It’s been 6 years now and the shoulder feels great. This shoulder had been operated on prior by another surgeon, due to a vehicle accident Dr. Temple got a chance to repair it for me and the outcome with him was much better for me. Great bedside manner and awesome surgeon. I would not hesitate to call on him again.

Dr.Temple has done all 4 of my knee surgeries and has corrected a birth defect that we were told was impossible to fix. I will never go to another orthopedic if I can help it!

Dr. Temple did a repair on my rotator cuff on the right arm. He also did a shoulder replacement on my left shoulder. He is a great surgeon and very down to earth compassionate doctor. He listens to your problems and tries to come up with the best solution. I was sad when he moved to New Zealand but he is back not at the Pineville location so that is great.

I saw Dr. Temple for knee pain and arthritis. He removed the meniscus/menisci on both sides of my right knee greatly relieving most of my pain. From then on, he gave very gentle cortisone injections into both knees. I was scheduled to have Synvisc (Rooster Comb) injections, but the turkey left the practice. I have been searching for him ever since. Anyone have his current address??

My oldest Son has had to see Dr. temple several times in his high school sports career. Unfortunately, he had to have surgery twice, for different injuries and Dr. temple did both of them. The outcomes were great. Dr. Temple and his Nurse Lisa have always been very quick to return calls and provide support as needed. Dr. Temple continues to be a trusted resource with my son now away at college. My younger Son has also been to him for care. I completely trust him, he is honest as well as incredibly skilled and always has excercised an appropriate balance between conservative and more aggressive management based on the situation. Wouldn't go to anyone else.

Dr. Temple diagnosed my son's problems within minutes of seeing him and resolved it,with surgery, within weeks. Excellent care.
