Hi, my name is John, and I'm a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner serving clients in New Hampshire. I specialize in men’s issues, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (ptsd)/trauma, anger management/impulse disorder, burnout, life coaching, life transitions, college & graduate student mental health, lgbtqia+, gender, & sexuality topics, race & cultural identity, seasonal affective disorder (sad), sleep disorders, stress management, anxiety, adhd, insomnia & sleep issues, bipolar, obsessive compulsive disorder (ocd), binge eating disorder, sexual health & dysfunction, religion & spirituality, relationship issues, maternal mental health/pre/postpartum, loss, grief, and bereavement, infertility, family issues, chronic illness. I’ve been in nursing for over 10 years and completed my master’s and psychiatric training at University of New Hampshire. I’m passionate about destigmatizing mental healthcare, and together with my colleagues at Lavender Psychiatry, I’m on a …mission to create a world where feelings are felt, respected, and cared for.

My therapeutic style is characterized by warmth, engagement, and a genuine personal connection. I believe in establishing a strong, collaborative relationship with each client, where we work together to make informed decisions about their treatment. I chose to be a psych NP because I cannot imagine doing anything else in my life except for helping those who are finding their way and their voice. I always wanted a career in nursing and in healthcare due to my desire and passion of wanting to help those who need it the most.

My practice is inclusive and welcoming, embracing diversity in culture, background, and experience. I have worked with a wide range of clients, including students, parents, professionals from various fields, skilled tradespeople, service industry workers, retail employees, entrepreneurs, artists, and technology experts. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space where each individual feels heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their therapeutic goals. Starting treatment can be a scary and intimidating process. I’ve successfully treated many people who are new to psychiatric care.
