Dr. John Richard Trittschuh, MD

I made an appointment, went at the appointed time, and Dr. Trittschuh was not there. The building was closed, locked, and empty.

I've seen Dr. T three times over the past six years. I believe he is very competent and thorough. I felt confident, at ease during exams. He explained the condition of my eyes very well. He is also caring and personable.

I was amazed on the simplicity of having two cataract surgerys completed. Dr T's procedure was about 15 minutes with each eye. I can see tremendously better, I forgot what I could see previously. The Office Staff and his care assistants make the office visits enjoyable. Everything is taken care of before he gets to you. I was fortunate to be referred to Dr. T many years ago by my general physician!

Doctors and staff at EyeCare Physicians & Surgeons are very upbeat, friendly and helpful. Dr. Trittschuh gives excellent care and has a wealth of experienced knowledge. I only hope he doesn't retire - ever.

Had cataract surgery yesterday. Vision in my left eye went from 20/400 to 20/25...huge success!! Wonderful, professional staff. Can't wait to ge the second eye done. Thanks Dr. Trittschuh, Keely, and the rest of the staff.

This is a great group of professionals who have cared for and continue to provide excellent vision care for many people in this community. Their professionalism coupled with their promptness, knowledge, efficiencies of practice and happy engaging attitude makes for a positive and important experience.

I cannot believe the two critical opinions, must have been written by a competitor. Dr. T. is a wonderful, caring doctor. He is frequently the only doctor to see emergencies even when he is not on call. He was the only doctor to see free clinic patients of the Presbyterian church. He never turns away Medicaid or free patients. We desperately need more doctors like him. Since he sees so many emergency and Medicaid patients, you might need to wait a little bit, but when you have an emergency, then you understand and know he will be there for you.

Thorough diagnosis - have been with this MD for many years

Dr. Trittschuh is probably the best ophthalmologist in SW Michigan, if not in the whole state. I've been his patient for over thirty years and I'll never see any other. He did the cataract surgery on both my eyes, so that's how I know about his bedside manner. His is the only doctor's office I go to without anxiety about how I'll be treated. We need more physicians like him.

I was a patient if Dr. Trittschuh's for years. About 30 years ago he lasered both of my eyes for diabetic problems. Last several years I've been treated at the Mayo clinic-Jacksonville FL, and just recently at the Univ if Mich, Kellogg eye center as a patient and as part if a research project . Both institutions commented on the quality if the work done by Dr. Trittschuh. Crediting him with my having vision today .
