Dr. John Franklin Valentine, MD

I had the worst experience EVER with Dr. Valentine and his staff. His staff are immature and very rude. Especially Kylie. They have very poor customer service. I was told directions by one nurse who called and went over the colonoscopy prep with me the week prior. Then the day of the procedure the doctor had cancellations so they called and said I had to come early. I could tell they wanted me to come early so they could leave early. I said I couldn’t because first of all my ride had moved her whole schedule around to be able to take me. Second I wasn’t done with the prep. They said that they would have to reschedule me then at first. I said that I couldn’t make it another day and had already started the prep since the night before. Then when I got there the rude nurse Kylie said she was going to be my nurse, I said I didn’t want her to be because she already yelled at me on the phone. She didn’t apologize or anything her words were “I’m not going to argue with you” then she went out… of the room where I could still hear and was saying horrible things about me to the staff. Then I didn’t even see the doctor till two minutes before I was put under. He didn’t explain one thing to me. I had never had a colonoscopy and was terrified. He tried for 15 minutes and then they woke me up and he said I had to do prep for two weeks before he’d see me again!! Which even the pharmacist and my family practitioner were in disbelief at this. I’m so thankful I went to another doctor. Dr. Savarise at the West Jordan location. He and his team were incredible. They told me everything they were doing before during and after. He talked to me for at least 10 minutes prior to the procedure and went over everything in detail and answered all my questions. He successfully was able to do what Dr. Valentine refused to do without a two week prep. I have talked with other people who had seen Dr. Valentine and had the same experience. With the same immature nurses. That was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Dr. Savarise!!!

I wish every doctor were like Dr. Valentine. He takes the time you need and explains everything so understand.

I saw several doctors before visiting Dr. Valentine, and he was the first physician who spent time educating me, answering my questions, and showing genuine concern for my health. He is, without a doubt, the best physician I have ever visited.
