Dr. John Vanderford, DO

I was in a triage-type room at Providence Park for 13 1/2 hours with unbearable back pain, had seen a couple of doctors, but nothing was helping. Dr. Vanderford came in after all of that and was so very nice and personable and put me instantly at ease. He immediately came up with a plan for treatment using meds here overnight. I was moved to a very comfortable room in the Clinical Decision Unit and by morning, I was mobile with minimal pain. He visited this a.m. as he said he would and sent me on my way. He is fantastic with great bedside manner and I wish he was in general practice. My favorite female doctor retired recently and I truly wish he could take her place. Great physician!

Great ER doctor treated my 90 year old mother. Sound medical judgement and kindness! Treats with courtesy and respect, listened carefully, explained things in a way you could understand. Definitely recommend without equivocation.

He cared about my kidney stone pain and problems I had with surgeon supposed to deal with it! He wanted to help even though I lost my insurance and helped me get the stuff I needed

Unlike many, I only visit the ER for emergencies, NOT flu, NOT colds and sniffles and coughs, backaches, bruises tummy aches, etc. Great ER doctor I saw for my kidney stone and I noticed he had to deal with a lot of nonsense as well. 5 stars out of 4

Prompt, kind, quick, answered questions, relieved pain and gave peace of mind. No nonsense kind of doctor...just like on the old show ER.

I went in with severe pain...I had no idea I was having a heart attack! Dr. Vanderford acted quickly and saved my life.

I brought my one year old in due to her not being able to keep anything in or down for over 24 hours she was dehydrated. Dr Vanderford came in gave 1/2 tab of zofran to perk her up and to get her eating. After 4 hours of non stop cyring (No tears) no wet diapers) Dry mouth even a mother knows you need fluids. I was told to go home and try to get her to drink. I said she is not ready to go home, I told the staff and the staff trying to collect my 100.00 copay out the door. My baby was admitted 4 hours later for a 3 day stay in the hospital. This doctor must not work with children or not know what to look for, do your self a favor if e is on duty I would go else where.
