Dr. John Edward Vanwye, MD

This doctor was dismissive and did not spend time to understand the scope of my issues. My symptoms are not "typical", but there is clearly a problem. He just said he couldn't help me. It was over in 5 minutes.

I'm still upset after seeing this doctor last week. He was dismissive and condescending, insisting I didn’t have allergies because I’m 65 and a smoker. Fine, but what about addressing my symptoms—runny nose, sneezing, burning eyes, and congestion? He barely spent any time with me; the nurse handled almost everything. Honestly, I’m baffled that this clinic continues to employ someone so unprofessional. Now I’m stuck seeking a second opinion elsewhere, and I still owe money for this disappointing and unproductive visit. Frustrating doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Dr. Van Wye carefully listened to my problem and offered several options for therapy. He answered all of my questions completely. I was completely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend Dr. Van Wye.

Can you give Zero Stars? Wow. I have never been treated with such disrespect, rudeness and condescension in my entire life. To some extent, he is the only allergist in the area. So if you must go to this “doctor”, be very, very, very careful.

Very considerate and thorough. Helped me obtain medication I needed. Understood other allergy problems, ie eczema and had medication for that. Referee me to an excellent dermatologist as well.

I emailed the office regarding a discrepancy in the patient's chart. In a short time, Dr. Van Wye called me on my cell phone. He was extremely rude and condescending. He told me he didn't CARE what I thought. I have worked at a hospital for 23 years and have NEVER encountered a more rude professional than Dr. Van Wye. Do not go to him.

I have never interacted with a doctor before who has been so rude. He was condescending and and impatient. He knew all the answers before he even fully listened to the problem. I felt like he trivialized what to me was a major issue.

Dr Van Wye is the most caring and knowledgable allergist I have ever had. After 60 years with allergies and asthma with his expertise I finally have relief. He is extremely patient and never rushes through an exam like some. I highly recommend him.
