Dr. John David Wean, MD

I've seen Dr Wean on and off for over 15 years. Due to chances in health insurance I've had to change providers throughout this period. By far Dr Wean has been the most educated psychiatrist I've seen. He is the only doctor that i have ever had that explains how your brain works and how the medications he prescribes works on your brain and body. He is an expert in his field and is field. Ive chosen to pay put of my pocket to see him for the last few years rather then see someone else who is covered under my insurance plan. I highly recommended him. He is very thorough, he listens and understand how the brain and medications work and shares that with you. If you are someone who has been struggling with mental health issues for a long time with very little relief from other doctors I suggest seeing him.

I feel like I struck gold finding Dr. Wean. He has understood, and has given me a better understanding of my complex issues, way beyond what I thought was possible. Sessions are effextive - I feel that I'm dealing with with a genuinely caring professional.Dr Wean is not my first psychiatrist. I am eapecially fond of the doctor's ability to listen and really internalize what I'm discussing. He isn't one to just to conclusions - to an easy diagnosis.
