Dr. John Thomas Wei, MD

I have been a patient since 2014. He walked me through 3 biopsies and fortunately found nothing. Very extensive and attention to detail. Very responsive to questions.

had some prostate problems and bounced around to a couple different Doctors before meeting Dr Wei. When he comes through the door you know immediately he's not only confident but he'll handle your issue. We had to move from Michigan, I wish I could've taken Dr Wei with me.

I found Dr. Wei to be one of the most caring doctors I have ever been treated by. Surgery went well but recovery was not. When problems arose, Dr. Wei responded twice with a personal phone call to help. I trust him with my medical concerns and he is a patient listener.

Earlier down/rated because I only saw P.A. ...... since then, Dr Wei’s organization has tried valiantly to make amends .... hoping/planning to still see him, but for now, B+ for effort!

I have been a patient of Dr Wei for 10 years. I have found him to be a caring, insightful physician. He is easy to talk to and is concerned with his patients’ ailments. I have recommended him to friends and they have been very pleased with his practice.

a) I did a lot of research to identify who I thought/hoped would be best Dr. to see to understand extent of my risks; b) I drove ~ 9 hours rt just for this appointment; c) the new u of m facility in Brighton is great; d) the young lady who took all my particulars, etc was just fine ... & we were told ‘the Dr.’ Would be in shortly; e) then, a competent-seeming, young gentleman arrived, explained he was the Dr’s. ‘P.A., & proceeded to carry out our ‘Dr. Visit’ ... at first, we thought this was just a ‘prelude’, but it slowly became clear we were NOT going to be seeing Dr. Wei. (there was, by the way, ZERO explanation offered as to WHY we were not seeing Dr. Wei!) f) did we learn a lot? yep! .... did I come away confident that I had received the kind of ‘best available in mi knowledge & advice’ on my potential problem that I had researched & driven 9 hours to benefit from?? ABSOLUTELY NOT! g) Will I return ? Nope! call me old fashioned .... but if I book… an appointment, months ahead of time, hundreds of miles away from home, to see a particular Dr. (or ANYONE, for that matter!) ... & I do not see him ... & no one even bothers to tell me I will not see him ... or WHY I won’t see him ... I find that just ridiculous!

The doctor obviously loves his profession and cares about his patients.
