Dr. Weisenseel attended The Ohio State University for undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor of Science degree. He then received his doctoral degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. After dental school, he joined the United States Navy as a general dentist. He subsequently completed a two year residency at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School at Bethseda and received his Certificate in Endodontics.  While in the Navy, he was a mentor in General Practice Residency (GPR), Endodontic Fellowship programs, and general dentists rotator programs. He was Director of the Advanced Clinical Endodontic program in San Diego where he was involved in advanced endodontic training for over 40 dentists.  At completion of his Naval career, he has pursued endodontic excellence in private practice in San Diego.
He achieved Diplomate status as a Board Certified Endodontist with the American Board of …Endodontics. A specialist member of the American Association of Endodontist (AAE), Dr. Weisenseel is also a member of various professional organizations including the The American Board of Endodontics, American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), San Diego County Dental Society (SDCDS), and California State Association of Endodontists. He is published in several dental journals, and he has presented numerous continuing education lectures to many civilian and military groups. As in previous years, he was selected by his peers as one of the San Diego metropolitan area's 2011 Top Dentists, as featured in San Diego Magazine.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, travel, gardening, and an interest in antique/vintage automobiles.
