Dr. John Tracy Wells, MD

A Doctor's office is more than just a doctor. Dr. Wells is great, but his staff is scary. I expressed my knee MCL instability concerns to his PA, who checked my knee and said it was perfectly stable and didn't need any surgery done. I requested to see the doctor who came in and checked it and said that it was very loose and they would schedule reconstruction alongside my torn meniscus. I spoke with head of the financial staff prior to leaving to make sure finances were covered and all in order before surgery. They assured me they would look into everything and make sure everything was squared away prior to surgery. The NIGHT before surgery I get a call from the financial department saying that many thousands of dollars wouldn't be covered like was planned for. The staff wasn't even sure which surgeries I was receiving the next morning which is not what you want to hear the night before getting put under. Who knows if I was going to get put to sleep wake up to only half of the work done… on my knee. I was scheduled at two surgery centers simultaneously because they weren't sure which would be better and told me they would let me know which they picked the day before. They wanted me to reschedule for a week later, requiring another Coronavirus test done, in order to organize things better and at a different place. I didn't feel safe with his staff or cared for. Communication was horrendous between all staff members and to me as a patient. I had to cancel my surgery the night before after making all life arrangements to get it done. Now I get to restart the whole process over at a new doctor's office and hobble through the pain in my knee longer. I would search for a more professional place to get your work done, especially when it comes to surgery.

I did everything. I spent months getting mri they said I needed surgery. I finally get everything done and told them the medications I take way before surgery. Then I go in for surgery after waiting forever. I got hooked up to iv and then dr brown the anesthesiologist came in and i reminded him of the medication and he and dr wells decided to cancel the surgery. I think It was cause I got a good deal and they didn’t think it was worth it. I have been so depressed not being able to do anything with two bad shoulders and now I have to go through the whole process with another dr. They did this to multiple people. He told me. Why not tell me they can’t do the surgery way before I go in and pay for it and get my iv in and all ready for surgery. Now I’m sitting at home. More depressed then ever. I want to die cause this has post poned my life for so long. I do not recommend this dr. Especially dr brown.

I had a great experience with Dr. Wells. He takes the time with his patients to inform them of their condition(s). Made me feel completely comfortable and confident in his abilities and highly recommend him!

Dr. Wells was the best doctor I have ever seen. He was so friendly and genuinely cared about my recovery. My shoulder is in perfect condition now. Everyone I recommend DR. Wells!!
