John Westkaemper

The Dr. Was in to much of a hurry to show any concern on my condition and pain. Talked so fast i missed most of what he said. Said no good by and just ran out to the next billing.

Cordial, efficient, and punctual. Informative and comfortable.

Very helpful and knowledgeable Doctor

After over three years of wrist pain and doctors either shrugging me off or spouting the normal RICE Google search results, Dr. Westkaemper was the one who actually listened to me and tested some things and told me that my wrist pain was actually caused by cubital tunnel in my elbow. A compression sleeve and a couple of weeks of avoiding pressure on my elbow, and my wrist pain is basically gone already. I had been doing everything I could in the three years leading up to this, and he was the only one who helped me realize that my wrist pain was caused by my elbow, and therefore the only person who offered any real help at all. I am so, SO thankful for his guidance and diagnosis.

Don’t come to Dr W if you are easily offended. He is going to tell you facts plainly and it might not be easy to hear him in his brief, factual, way of speaking.

I'm sure Dr. Westkaemper is a very accomplished physician, however, in my case I had an ingrown thumb nail and maybe that was beneath his desired level of medical service. It was so rushed that when he finished the procedure, he did not give me any info on post-procedural care. As he was breezing out the door, I mentioned that I probably should change the dressing each day and he replied: "Every 12 hours and use Neosporin." No information on how long or what to expect. I did appreciate the fast appointment with him because I had been in a lot of pain for several weeks, and perhaps the RUSH, RUSH was because he fit me in and I do appreciate that.

I recently had hip surgery and could not be happier. Dr. Westkaemper did an excellent job. I am still healing but the surgery was a total success. The doctor could not have been nicer and explained everything I needed to know per and post surgery. Demi his assistant dealt with all the paperwork required by my insurance company quickly and efficiently. Anytime i had a question she was there to answer and guide me. Can't say enough about this team and about Arlington Orthopedics. If you need surgery these are the people you can trust to fix the problem quickly and efficiently. Thank you Dr Westkeamper and Demi for everything you do.

Dr. Westkaemper always takes time to listen to your issues,he really cares and he is not quick to recommend surgery. He provides other options. His office staff are wonderful,especially Demi,she is so courteous and always has a smile. She never seems rushed. She takes time to answer all questions. She is the bomb!!!

I suffered from a trauma at 3 fingers, shattering bones and joints. It was so bad, the doctors wanted to amputate. I asked Dr. Westkaemper to try to save my fingers and he did with very high skill. Because of him, I can play piano almost like normal after 6 months of recovery. About the office, I found making appointments very easy. Sometimes I could get in same-day. I did experience wait times, but not too bad.

I shattered my hand and wrist in a really nasty fall. He fixed it beautifully. It is 10yrs ago now and it is perfect! I cannot speak highly enough of his skill
