Dr. John Francis Wheary, DO

Was informed addiction is not a disease and is in fact, nonsense. "If you want to quit you will quit" completely scoffed at my anxiety. ... if I ever get him again I'd just assume leave.

Most Terrible experience. Hes condescending and arrogant physian who cares about nothing you have to say as the patient experiencing symptoms. Once you question him and bruise his sensitive ego, your done. I felt like nothing I requested was taken seriously and no urgency at all. Horrible physician for our community.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had in the emergency room at Hecktown Oaks. Dr. Wheary is very unprofessional, terrible bedside manner, terrible attitude as if i was putting him out of his way by asking him a question and just had no intrest in my care. He did not follow through with information and directions on what was wrong or what I was to do. I fell and my foot was completely black and blue around the whole ankle down to the base of the foot and I had also told him that I hit my head and my neck and back have been hurting since. He was going to do a X-ray of my neck but I suggested a Catscan since it shows more with the ligaments. He came in said my ankle is bruised and to use the boot I was using if it helped and offered no other advise regarding my ankle. I had to ask about my neck Catscan and was told me that was not his specialty and said I can go home and left, walked out of the room with curtain wide open. I sat there waiting for discharge paperwork and thought… someone would be in but no one did until I took the cuff off myself walked out into the desk area and called for someone and had to ask for assistance to be taken by wheelchair to the entrance to leave since it is difficult to walk with no support or crutches and tiring hobbling like I have been. They really need to re-evaluate the doctors they have working for them despite how long they have been practicing. When they do not actually cate to listen to the patients nee6d and health problems and lose interest in their care and let their ego get in the way maybe it's time to re-evaluate their attitude or profession. Very disappointed.

I would not let him treat my worst enemy!!!!

Completely incompetent, dangerous to the patients of the Lehigh Valley. I will never go to LVH again because of him. The RN's told me the only reason why they don't fire him is because he is apart of the "Good old boy's network."

If I could give him a zero I would. He is the worst doctor I every had to treat my son. He completely blew me off regarding my concerns about his fever. Should be fired!!!

The most self absorbed doctor I have every met. Always on his phone, flirting with the female RN's.

Thinks he is all that and a bag of chips. Constantly fluttering with the RN staff, poor reflection on LVHN.

By far the worst doctor I ever had to deal with, he is really in the wrong profession. So full of himself, essentially a GOD complex. What he needs is a reality check, I am a person who was scared and did not know what was going on with my body. Lehigh should fire him!

John is an exceptionally talented physician. We are lucky to have a physician like Dr. Wheary.
