Dr. John Robert White, MD

I saw Dr. White just last week & I was a little worried because of the negative reviews I’d seen. He was nothing like I expected! He was thorough in his examination and in his discussion with me. He was soft spoken and listened to what I had to say & paused at times to make sure I was following what he was explaining. I was pleased with everything about my care, our future plans to deal with my diagnosis & feel confident that I’m in good hands with Dr. White.

The staff has an 'its not my problem' attitude and Dr White does a poor job of relating to patients. Be weary of in house sleep studies that seem to only benefit the bottom line.

I understand that I am certainly not the only person to have negative feelings towards this doctor but I suppose this may be the most recent review. I had the misfortune of seeing Dr. White around the end of 2013. I showed up for my 8:00 am appointment and not surprisingly, he was late. After the intake person completed the initial stuff like blood pressure, I took the questionnaire I had completed before arriving to Dr. White. He looked at it checked my pulse and then came back to the room with pamphlets on two different things he thought it could be. I was then sent to look at one of the sleeping rooms and that was the end of our visit. I spent a total of maybe seven minutes with this person. This Dr. was in-network for me but due to the way he or this hospital chose to code the visit, my portion after insurance was still $151! I asked the billing clerk to express my lack of satisfaction for paying such a steep price for a visit that lasted less than 10 minutes. Dr. White… refused to adjust this. I am beyond dissatisfied and honestly, feel ripped off. And that sleep study I was supposed to have, um, again due to the the way they choose to code it, is not covered by my insurance. Save your money and do not see this doctor! Your money and time would be better spent elsewhere.

Initial appt was difficult to obtain as Primary had problems getting someone there to pick up phone. Became sick after initial and left VM for nurse, who NEVER CALLED ME BACK. Needed immediate care and got nebulizer from primary.

I agree with the other reviews, pass up on this one if you have the choice.

Dr. White is a very self centered uncaring doctor. His ego is so large that he does not talk to the patient but down to him. He treated my father and was very uncaring. I overheard a staff member there mention that he was having an affair with one of the nurses he works with. This man apparently lacks ethics and his attitude towards patients is very unprofessional. After watching him degrade my father I cannot recommend him at all to anyone. At his age he should consider retirement, but then he may have a doctor treat him as he treated my father.

This man is very uncaring and talked down to me because I am in my 80's. He is not much younger than me and degraded me horribly in front of my family. I refuse to see him again, NOT recommended!

A little bit too old and absent minded, probably needs to retire.

This doctor was more interested in flirting and such with the nurse instead of caring for me. I am an elderly patient and he is an elderly doctor, but he does not seem to show much interest in his patients.
