Dr. John Holden White, MD

Last week, I made an appointment with Dr. White to discuss a minor medical issue, and in a rather pleasant turn of events, I received an email from DuPage Medical Group explaining that I could fill out all the paperwork for the initial appointment online! So, I leapt at the possibility. It wasn't easy, because unlike most online medical forms, there were no check boxes. You had to search for every possibility and choose the right one from a rather long menu list. For the finale, I scanned in my insurance card and driver's license and, in spite of that 30-minute effort, I was happy to have the paperwork out of the way. But when I showed up for the appointment, the front-office nurse asked me to fill out the very same paperwork again. When I explained I'd already done so online, she said she'd clear it with the back-office nurse. With absolutely no explanation, the front-office nurse proceeded to outline the five or six pages I need to re-fill out. When she further explained they'd… need to scan my insurance card and driver's license, and I again explained I'd done it online, she copped an attitude claiming, "We'll that's them (DuPage Medical Group) and not us. That's the point at which I cancelled the appointment and walked out. And all this comes after I called the practice that morning to determine whether my online effort mitigated the need for me to come in 20 minutes early TO FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK! After a 10-minute hold with the DuPage Medical corporate gatekeepers, I decided I had much better things to do and hung up. Avoid this practice and the DuPage Medical Group corporate cattle call paradigm like the plague.

Great doctor to the point very professional highly recommend

He performed hernia surgery on me. My family doctor referred him. GREAT SURGEON in every way. I might have rotator cuff surgery, I hope he can perform it IF I need it.

Dr White was referred to me as a second opinion regarding a long time health sue that was getting worse. During the initial consult, he took the time to consider the options and explain them to me. He even drew me a diagram and took the time to answer my questions. He is very professional and also patient. I chose to have him do my complex surgery. I am currently just over there weeks recovery and pleased with the outcome and his care. Recovery will take more time, but I believe I will be in a better place. Dr White is a thoughtful Doctor. I would return to him (although I hope it is not necessary).

In addition to my opinion, doctors, nurses and other professionals I encountered during my hospital stay had excellent things to say about Dr White.They said he was the best, had the least complications, or that he was the one they would got to for surgery.
