Dr. John A Whitsitt

I recently took my daughter to see Dr. Whitsitt for a TMJ issue. It was a terrible experience from the beginning. From the staff being incapable of simple tasks to the doctor who didn’t explain things at all. He wanted us to get an MRI and insisted we go to the imaging center he wanted. We ended up going to an imaging center closer to our home instead. It took 3 weeks for the staff to fax over a script to even get the MRI. The MRI came back all normal. When we went to the office the second time he asked that we do another MRI at the place he wanted. Clearly there is something going on with the doctors office and the imaging center. It was an awful experience and I had zero confidence in anything he told us. I would never go back to this office and he should be investigated.

Dr. Whitsitt has 40 years of experience. In 2010 he already had an X-Ray device displaying pictures to a laptop instead of the old and slower FILM methode. My review is based on 20+ years of Dr. Whitsitt taking care of my: root canals, fillings, some extractions, crowns etc. Painless injections while you watch Nature Scenes on the color TV. Around 2005 when I was 52 we agreed on a restoration of the 7 remaining upper roots and installing a full arch upper bridge. It did fit like a glove. This bridge is still perfect after 15 years of use and I take care of it myself. At the same time 4 mini implants where set to support lower dentures. Back to 2019. Recently I had lost 2 implants due to my bad bone density, Dr. Whitsitt added 3 new mini implants, 2 of which where rejected by my body but 3 month  later we tried again and I now have 5 mini implants supporting new lower dentures. Many thanks to his staff: Krystal, Linda, Diane, Carrie, Jennifer and lovely Layci. They… all make for a great Team. Financially I made out great considering all the work was done.

His staff in 2016 was not very nice, The women who took care of the money was very rude and nasty. Because of my medical insurance I had to come back here in 2017 and what a change. The front desk is awsome and Dr. Whitsitt was very good. I felt comfortable from start to finish. I would reccomend him to anyone with TMJ issues.

I am currently a patient as well as my Wife and speaking for both of us. . We have always hated going to a dentist!! We are new to the area and very fortunately found Dr. Whitsitt! We have, in 3 visits each, myself, had 1st visit, a cleaning, 2nd visit, 2 teeth crowned, 3rd visit, an extraction and as crazy as it sounds.. I am looking forward to my next visit because, never in my life have I enjoyed by far going to the dentist. As a young child I had braces and my teeth were and in time became a mess! I am almost 51 yrs. old and my teeth look and feel better than ever! He is the total opposite of any dentist that I have ever been to. So afraid of them, I allowed my teeth to get in worse and worse shape through the years. I could not be happier to have found Dr. Whitsitt, as well as his staff from the front office to everyone so far. Everyone is friendly and, to me, very professional! The hygienist "Sharon" (I think is fairly new) she is totally awesome! I just feel that they (all)… really care and it's more than obvious they do! My biggest fear of dentist in the past has been the pain I have been put through in the past and I was literally terrified to go but the 1st time I went, I was just a tag a long with my Wife and I made my mind up that day.... I wanted this dentist for myself, no hesitation! He was wonderful with my Wife and allowed me to sit in during her appt. And I must add... for my Wife to be happy with a dentist..... well, that's a miracle! She really likes him alot and she is not one to boast about anyone! It's important to me to give Dr. Whitsitt a review and an A1 excellent review because he has changed my entire opinion of a dentist, dental visit! But I must say.... "I still don't trust dentist, but I certainly trust him! I recommend and already have recommended him to what few friends I know as stated earlier, we are new to the area. Dr. Whitsitt along with his staff, to me, the best! From wait time, to the hospitality from all, to the comfort that is required to a person (patient) such as myself, when you're worried about the pain, to me, he's hands down, the best. I, thinking these words would never come out of my mouth..... look forward to my future visits and you must put into consideration.... I'm really happy my smile is being super improved, and that's alot to be happy about but it takes a caring dentist to make a person want to keep coming back. I honestly would and have recommended him to anyone that needs a good dentist! Note: I took extra time to write this review because I read some of the reviews from unhappy patients and I was surprised!!!! I can't imagine anyone being unhappy with this man or his staff!

Office staff not professional or timely. Very dissatisfied.

My visit was quite good and I found all the employees to be friendly and helpful. Dr. Whitsitt was very caring, concerned and congenial. The service I received was great. My husband accompanied me and was quite impressed with the time Dr. Whitsitt spent with me and his exceptional knowledge.
