Dr. John Rex Wier, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Wier for about 15 years. Initially we did testing and have tried different medications until we both agreed I was finally in a stable place. I will continue to see Dr. Wier as long as he practices.

Have always been amazed by what my husband had to say about his dr. I was considering being his patient cause of how kind and considerate and open minded he was. This past week has left me extremely disappointed and angry. My husband called in for a refill for his Benzo meds and they ended up cutting him off cold turkey because he said he was afraid about going through withdrawals. The receptionist even said that when he comes in after thanksgiving week they would give him help for his addiction. Not true!! An addiction is when your selling stuff or your body to get another fix. What my husband had was a drug dependence and that is when you are taking the meds as prescribed by a dr but your body can not physically do without unless weaned off. My husband asked y’all for help and now I’m here watching he doesn’t go through a seizure!! So I hope you had a great thanksgiving because mines was in tears. I hope you take better care of your other patients when it comes to this and I hope… you listen to them when they ask for help instead throwing them to the wolves

Dr. Wier wrote me prescriptions for 6 years fueling my addiction with Xanax that I wasn't aware had developed. He never told me about the dangers of prolonged Xanax use including addiction, tolerance and risk of seizure and death with sudden discontinue of use. I was the one who realized I had a problem and discovered an online withdrawal schedule. I suffered 9 months of a debilitating withdrawal with increased intense anxiety and depression and could not work, drive, or function normally. I feel like I lost a year of my life all because of continuous prescription and no warning of the dangers of prolonged Xanax use.

This doctor has a huge heart who really cares about each and everyone of his patients. Love his staff. They always work to satisfy and accomodate my busy schedule and go the extra mile.

Dr. Wier has been a HUGE blessing to my life. There is no better choice!

Dr. Wier has a big heart and is a gentleman. He has been my doctor for over a decade. No one else will do. He has been with me through many changes and life events adjusting to my health as it presents itself. He listens, responds and is respectful on a good day or a bad day. He is empathic and kind. No one is too ill for him or his staff. They will take care of you. They have rescued me many times and I am so grateful for their astute professionalism. Thank you Dr. Wier!
