Dr. John R Wierdsma, DO

I had a medical emergency the other day and was rushed to the ER. I was at the store and had some neurological problems. I fell and I couldn’t speak. They believed I was having a stroke so the store called an ambulance. There at the hospital I was accused of faking symptoms to get drugs by the er doctor. He also accused me of moving here to Colorado so I could partake in the drug culture. And he said maybe something happened in Texas and I had to leave. He also looked at my phone and asked why I would leave my kids. ( The photo was of my granddaughters) He said he found it very strange, odd in fact that I was in Colorado and not with my family, that it made no sense to him. He said it was suspicious. He also said RSD isn’t real and nobody would act the way I was acting so he knew I was faking. He said that I was squirming around because of withdrawal or it was just a part of my act to get drugs. I never asked for any pain meds and when they said I could have some I said no thanks, I… don’t take pain pills. My blood work came back clean, of course! But he didn’t care, he just kept asking about my drug habit and which were my drugs of choice. When I found out I wasn’t having a stroke I asked to leave and they refused to let me go. Eventually after another hour they let me leave. He said other very rude rude things to me. And he laughed at me when I said I came to Colorado to climb mountains. His name is Dr. Wierdsma, John Wierdsma.

Referred a patient to him, he called once the patient arrived and did not know how to treat the patient. raised his voice and would not let me get many words in to help him know what was going on with the patient. Then once he was done yelling at me hung up!!! Very discouraged that patients have to be treated by a doctor so rude and disrespectful!!
