Dr. John Winston D Gonzalez, MD

No visit… wasn’t ALLOWED. Was referred to Dr Gonzalez by my pc. As receptionist is taking my information, she says “oh no, are you taking (stimulant med for adhd)? I said yes as I am a late diagnosed adult with inattentive ADD. Receptionist replies “No. We do not treat adults with ADHD.” I don’t understand.

I would give zero stars if I could. Patients please beware! I was abruptly taken off my medicine without warning. It was an unethical move. Be careful

Not only was my experience horrible, but I was VERY disrespected by Dahlia the "receptionist". I tried to schedule a new appointment but was interrupted, degraded, and disrespected tremendously. With mocking and degrading comments like " go find another psychiatrist if you cant answer my questions" and "Why is it so hard for you to understand". After being asked for my FULL social security number, I told her I was uncomfortable giving that information and was not respected. I did not understand their policy and was yelled at by saying I was "refusing" to answer question that I just did not fully understand. I DO NOT recommend this location to save you from stress and anxiety that a psychiatrist is suppose to help you with.

The receptionist can come across as rude, but she is actually quite nice. She is just straightforward and efficient. Dr. Gonzalez is very humorous but comes across wrong with many of his jokes, so some people may take him wrong. I find him quite funny. I enjoy his personality and also find him to be kind and caring. It took a while before I could see this in him, though. I do hate the wait times - they are pretty ridiculous, I mean why am I scheduled to be there if he isn't going to actually see me until an hour or more later?

Rude receptionist. 45 minutes to 2 hours wait for appointments. Physician prescribed wrong amounts of medication on two occasions and had to be contacted to correct amount.

There was always a long sit in the waiting room but Once I got into see him the appointment went very fast. He was great about consistently getting me my medication but he was better about telling me how I felt than listening to me. I had to cancelled two of my appointments for valid reasons but his office still informed me I could no longer see Dr Gonzalez because of that. Good luck!

I made an appointment for my son who is having several problems. On the morning of his appointment I called to reschedule his appointment due to the fact that he woke up with a fever, swollen throat and very sick. I did not get a person so I left my message on their voicemail and explained the situation. I never heard back from them, so that afternoon I called back. This time I spoke with a very rude lady. She told me that I did NOT leave a message and that my phone is probably not working correctly! Then proceeded to tell me that she would not reschedule my son! Thank God I found out now how this office operates and what kind of staff they have working there. It saves me having problems later and allowed me to find a more caring and understanding office.

Apparently, if you prefer not to wait for 1-1/2 hours in a crowded, noisy waiting room, and ask to reschedule your appointment, you are counted as bei ...
