Dr. John Teddy Witbeck, MD

My insurance recommended me to him. I will NEVER go back to that office again. He is NOT a friendly person. He is very dismissive of anything a patient tries to tell him. Please do not waste your money seeing him.

I had never had a bad experience with a doctor until seeing Dr. Whitbeck. He rushed my appointment and questions, was visibly frustrated with me, and left as soon as he could with no goodbye and told me to talk to his assistant if I had follow-up questions.

Today I went to Dr Witbeck to be seen for a persistent shoulder problem. I went in two years ago when it first started and he blew it off as a heart related issue and sent me to the ER (which didn't result in anything). Now, it's gotten bad enough I finally went back and when I tried to explain what had happened previously, he interrupted me to the point I had to say "I'd like to finish explaining what I'm feeling..." he then left the room to check when I had been in prior. He got sidetracked on wanting info from the ER. So.. now I am again trying to explain my symptoms and he says "So what do you want me to do?" Like I'm the one with the medical degree? He is impatient, cuts you off and dismissive. At NO POINT should a patient ever have to say... "What I'd like is to finish my sentence and explain what I'm feeling..." which I did, and he still cut me off. At the end of the day I said, I want to know if I should do this or this or what in order to get myself completely and correctly… diagnosed... his reply was "well, when people say they want to know if they should do something, that's usually what they want so we will do that?" Wth? When did I get a medical degree? He is Terrible and it doesn't matter if you're a man or woman. Go elsewhere! I paid a co-pay for this.. now I will have to fight for that back because I need to go elsewhere, pay another one and go through it all again.

I have been seeing Dr. Witbeck for over 20 years, and have had excellent experience with him in every way. Very insightful on diagnosis. Very caring, conscientious about your well-being. Highly recommend him!

do yourself a favor and keep your family and friends away from Dr. Witbeck!!!

I dont understand the bad reviews this doctor is getting. Like the things being said are just insane. He was literally the nicest doctor i have met in a long time. Actually cared about what i was saying and feeling and even related to me on a personal level. Which is so great. made me feel extremely comfortable and took the time to get to know me as a new patient. AND he got me in totally short notice when the other 6 doctors i had tried could only schedule me months out. So Dr. Witebeck is great.

I have been seeing Dr. Witbeck for 10 years or so. He always makes himself available. He is a no-nonsense person. He is overall the best doctor I have ever had.

Awful awful person! I had been deathly sick for 2 weeks with a terrible cold and he wouldn't do anything for me. Told me that I needed to just suck it up... extremely rude!

My wife and I have seen Dr. Witbeck a couple of times at the Foothill family clinic for "emergency" care (but with appt). We have been impressed with his quick understanding of problems and subsequent explanation of treatment options and aftermath.

I have doctor anxiety and I wish I would have learned more about him before my visit because he was the worst doctor I could have gone to. He was belittling and rude. Sat back most of the visit talking about how much he knew of this and that. I came in with hormone problems and he jumped to the WORST conclusions, scaring me spitless. Now after seeing a real specialist I realize how far off he was. When asking me questions he DRILLED me and backed me into a corner. Almost trying to get me to contradict myself. He diagnosed me with Anxiety (which i don't have) and put me on a really expensive anti anxiety drug that I stopped taking after 2 days. I can't recall when anyone has made me feel so uncomfortable. Never seen a worse bedside manner. All in all I look back on that appointment and shudder.
