Dr. Wong received his Bachelor’s degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and D.M.D degree at the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine in 1991. After six years of practicing general dentistry, he returned to the University of Connecticut to pursue his specialty training and completed his Residency in Pediatric Dentistry in 1999.
Born in China and raised in Hong Kong, Dr. Wong immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 16 to pursue the American Dream. After graduating high school in Queens, NY, he served three years in the U.S. Army as a Medic before pursuing his higher education.
Dr. Wong is a member of the Hartford Dental Society, the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentists, the Connecticut State Dental Association,the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In 2002, Dr. Wong joined Dr. Muller as a partner in the Children’s Dental Associates of Hamden, P.C.
He is married to his wife, Lynn. …They have two children, Tiffany and Alex and their yellow Labrador, Dunkin. In addition to his passion for dentistry, he enjoys reading, music, theatre, playing tennis, basketball and mahjong.
