3 months ago I was diagnosed with a rectocele. I got 3 opinions, a urogynecologist, colorectal surgeon, gynecologist. First 2 docs knew exactly what was wrong and when I gave my symptoms, they recognized them immediately and said they were very common and that surgery would help. I saw Dr. Wyant last and at first he said I didn't have a rectocele but I asked me to look again and when he gave a little more attention, he found it. I told him my symptoms and he had no idea why I was having them and had never heard of anything like it. I asked him how he would perform the procedure and he was vague about it. I do understand these issues may seem a little trivial but when anyone is having such a personal and painful problem, much understanding, patience, explanation and education should be applied. Like I said, nothing jumped out and bothered me, just an underlying bad feeling. I still have not had the surgery and will not until I find the right doc to do it.
