Dr. John Anthony Zadroga

In september 2023 I needed a doctors viewpoint regarding waterpills I lost during my stay in Wisconsin. I am a citizen of Denmark and was appointed to John Zadroga in urgent care. After an extensive eksamination, I finally was issued 30 pills called Hydraclhorothiazide 12,5 mg. These pills had no effect, unfortunately, but since my stay in Wisconsin only was 3 weeks, I didnt pursue any other doctors visit. I have no complaints about John Zadroga, actually during my visit I realized he was from an earlier part of Denmark, North Friesland, so we almost could speak the same language. My concerns here are about the unseemingly high bill I was presented for later. 530 dollars, 330 dollars for being a first time patient. Strange enough, I am not a first time patient, when my name was brought up in the hospitals records, I showed up immediately with name and address in Bloomer Wi. When still in EC, I went to talk to a person in billing, but this person could not do anything.. Therefore this… complaint. I am a retired person age 79 years old, and this was my last visit to the US, first time was in 1960, all in all about 30 times with 5 years of being a permanent resident. I wrote Mayo about two weeks ago, no answer, it is my impression that Mayo is one of the best hospitals in the world, even at the level of danish hospitals, but no answer to a bill I find way out of line, is beyond my understanding. I am a survivor of sexual assault and I typically dread having Pap smears/pelvic exams for obvious reasons. I found out Dr. Zadroga was “in network” for me and was very apprehensive when I was unable to get an appointment with a female provider. Dr. Zadroga was so incredibly patient and kind. He took time to listen to my reasons for fearing the well women’s exam and was very validating of my concerns. This was by far the least traumatic exam of this nature that I have ever had. As long as he is in my area, I will never see anyone else. I wish that all women with my history could have access to a doctor like Dr. Zadroga.
