Dr. John Jeffery Zecherle, MD

NO patience for the patient. He is abrupt and callous and had no focus on the problem. His interest were to get me out of the ER with a prescription for pain medication rather than listen and deal with my pain and it’s cause. I’m 80 years old and after 5 hours in the ER and post pain narcotic to release me with a prescription and have the prescription filled late in the evening is unconscionable, plus asking me to drive home after feeding me pain medication violates every thing in the book.At that point is when I dug my heals in and requested another real doctor visit with me. That attending did solved the problem and had me admitted, albeit 2:30 AM. When a patient comes to the hospital / emergency room they are usually hurting and or very sick. They don’t go to be abused verbally by a short tempered man with Napoleonic complex waring 3 masks and running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Suggestion: Dr Zecherle should consider leaving emergency medicine and look… for employment in a 24 veterinary practice. Otherwise the hospital was great and the doctor and nurses were attentive, caring and a good bedside manner. I was released the next afternoon.

3 times in 3 years at ER.He was right at the problem, eased our anxiety and took care of the problem asap.Thanks.

Dr. Zeckerle does not deserve the prvilege of working at Maring General. His bedside manner is uncaring, rude and condescending. More importantly, he provided the wrong diagnosis to the patient and sent her home. Apparenly he was unable to read and understand the radiology report he received from the CT scan.
