Dr. John Zubkus

I was diagnosed with hairy cell leukemia about 2.5 years ago and Dr Zubkus was so concise and confident with the plan he presented me for treatment. He was always so positive and sure about what he was doing and that I was going to be just fine. I’ve been in remission for two years and Dr Zubkus is the best Doctor I’ve ever had.

Dr.Zubkus is wonderful Doctor..he LITERALY SAVED MY LIFE...HE IS THE BEST...

In 2012 I was give 2 weeks to live and I’m still alive 61/2 years later,thanks to dr Zubkus . He knows when what he is doing and does an AWSOME JOB ! THANK U LORD FOR THIS DOCTOR

As the other person said, I truly wish I could select A ZERO for the rating on this doctor. Not only could I NEVER endorse a referral to him but I personally will be reporting his absolutely narcissistic and terrible patient care to the TN Medical Board. If you need the kind of care required of an Oncologist, DO YOUR RESEARCH! Just because TN Oncology is the biggest and most prominent DOES NOT mean they are the best! Sarah Cannon @ Centennial; Nashville Oncology Associates; Ingram Cancer Center @ Vanderbilt. SO MANY OPTIONS, wish I had done MY research before wasting precious time on this terrible doctor.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. They need to have zero stars as an option. My husband started seeing Dr. Zubkus on 11/23/2017,he was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cell carcinoma clear cell. He told us at the first visit that he was able to get into a trial study for immunotherapy. For the next 2 months he went for his appointments and never seen Dr.Zubkus again .Every time he went for an appointment they drew blood and he left, if he was seen at all , it was his research nurse that saw him not Dr.Zubkus , My husband ended up in the hospital on 12/24/2017 due to complications from his cancer . He was in there for 8 days and only saw him one time , on December 29th . He told him he was still able to be in the trial study he just had to get out of the hospital first. They had appointments set up for him to get scans done that he already had done. He had to repeat the scans because the time limit had run out since the last scans to be eligible for the study due to a false… positive on a hep C test. On December 30th (the next day ) an oncologist that was on call for the weekend came in and told us there was nothing else that could be done for him because his kidneys were failing and he had one to two weeks left. The coward ( Dr. Zubkus ) looked right in my husbands eyes and lied to him instead of telling him the truth about his prognosis, leaving it up to an oncologist that he had never seen to tell him. I took my husband home on December 31st and he passed away on January 1st. In 2 months of precious time he never received one treatment for his cancer, instead he was put through a ton of blood test and scans to get into the study. Please if you value your loved one going through this horrible disease , find another oncologist that will give them the attention that they need and start treatment right away. He is more worried about getting his name attached to a successful trial study than he is about his patients.

Dr. Zubkus and in my opinion is perhaps the Best and most concerned Dr. I have been associated with. No doubt without Stonecrest Hospital , Dr. Zubkus, all of his staff and Nurses, I would not been alive today? Survivor of stage 4 Lung Cancer,73 years old and still kicking I owe to all of these GREAT people and 8 NUNS living in a Convent in Mulbury Alabama. Every day 7 pray for Billy Ivey(that is me)while the 8th one cooks ! How can one not love that? Yes I had stage 4 Lung Cancer, COPD, and Pneumonia at the same time and I am Super Grateful!! All of these Professonials deserve 10 Stars. THANK YOU
