Dr. Griffin is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. He has been in private practice in Montgomery since 1981. Dr Griffin enjoys working with people and seeing smiles transformed. He has always had a passion for helping underprivileged children in Montgomery to receive top-quality dental care. He attended George Washington Carver High School, and then went on to Alabama State University where he majored in Chemistry and Mathematics. He spent 2½ years teaching in the Montgomery County school system. He worked for 4 years at Exxon …Oil Company as an industrial sales representative. In 1974, he enrolled at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, where he received his D.D.S. in 1978.
While at Meharry, he was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national honorary dental society honoring the top three students in dentistry. Dr Griffin started practicing dentistry in 1978 in Lowndes County in the area of Public Health. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and especially enjoys seeing smiles transformed. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the National Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, and the Alabama Dental Society, where he served as President. He is also a member of the Capital City Medical Society.
Dr. Griffin has two children and a GRANDSON. He enjoys playing golf, boating, skiing, and is an avid fan of Alabama State and the University of Alabama football. He enjoys listening to great jazz as well as gospel music. He also enjoys gardening, and that is evidenced when you arrive at his office and see the flower beds that he recreates each year.
