Dr. Johnny Derroll Hickson, MD

Dr Johnny Hickson literally changed my life! I was dealing with what happens as we get older, waking up to urinate 4-5 times a night. I was getting hardly any sleep. Exhausted. Was referred to Dr Hickson, and I got a very thorough exam. We tried medications, but he listened when after a few weeks I said this isn't working. We moved towards me having a TURP procedure by Dr. Hickson. (feel free to google that!) Was done as outpatient. Came to and had a catheter, that I went home with for 48 hours. After being able to then have a very strong stream, I remembered Dr Hickson promising me he'd have me going like a cow on a flat rock in a pasture, in no time! That ended up being very true! There were a few weeks of discomfort and urgency to urinate resulting in a couple of oopsies! but Dr Hickson listened and treated the issue. 2 weeks after the procedure, I woke up one morning and realized I hadn't gotten up at all that night to go to the bathroom! It wasn't… long before I had a noticed increased amount of energy and much more wakefulness! I'm now waking up maybe once a night and able to go right back to sleep! I feel like a new man! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR JOHNNY HICKSON! He's a good one!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Hickson for a number of years. Have had several surgeries and am satisfied with the results. Urination is greatly improved. Special shout-out for his nurse, Caitland. She performed a painless catheter removal 2-17-24. Also she will return your phone calls.

Horrible Doctor and pathetic staff. Dr Johnny Hickson is extremely unpopular and does not show any kindness or any discussion of medical practice. I would not recommend this odd Doctor to anyone!

Dr. Hickson did my vasectomy. He explained the procedure very well and did an amazing job on the surgery. It was a scalpel-less procedure and didn't require any incision care afterward. I'll be sticking with him for any urology issues I have going forward. Highly recommended!

Dr. Hickson was extremely professional and explained procedures and answered all my questions. Did not seem rushed. His staff was very friendly. Short wait time. I would highly recommend him.

He is very good in finding the appropriate tx plan for his patients. I appreciate him so much. His staff are always professional and so helpful. Always make sure I get what I need. This incudes all staff from the front desk staff to the nurses. All nice and kind.

Had a prostate procedure that turned out great. He and his staff are very competent, friendly and no wasting a lot of time waiting around on them. Very efficient. Highly recommend if you need a good urologist.

They made sure I had all my questions answered and that I felt comfortable. There was little to no pain, and it was over before I knew it. I was also able to be on my phone during it if I wanted to distract myself. If I could rate a 6/5 I would.
