Dr. Johnson Akpoba Ukpede, MD

Was a new patient. Ukepe (I won't call him a doctor) has zero solutions for back pain except for epidural shots. He insisted I take one and I told him I would research what the side effects of the shot was. I also asked of a chiropractor was an option and he said NO. He did not mention for me to lose weight as I am overweight. Did not insist I exercise. After a day I called his office and spoke with the secretary and told her I was not interested in the epidural shot. If ukepe could prescribe me pain medicine instead. She said he would contact me. He never did. That man is just an Epidural Steroid Shot Salesman. Beware.

I went to see him yesterday and because I didn't want to take a steroid shot in my spine he got very rude. He wrote me a prescription for narco but I am allergic to it instead of finding me something else he told me no I am not. When I am even the pharmacist at Walgreens questioned why because they said it's in my profile that i have allergy to it. Out of desperation and in bad pain I took one and all Thanksgiving day I vomit and my lips were starting to feel numb. This doctor only wants the insurance money he wants to give steroid shots. I am not comfortable taking a shot in my spine instead of working with me he became rude and undignified. Something is wrong with him. I never saw a doctor act like that before. Stay away from him. What I saw was an Angry Nigerian man in front of me and not a respectable doctor. Go to him if you want and if you refuse his steroid shot in your back you will see Dr Jekle and Mr. Hyde. Happy riddance to him. Patients need kind doctors he is a SOW. He… deserves a "0"

Great Doctor caring, compassionate and comprehensive

This doctor is very rude, will talk to the patient very unprofessional, short patient & doesn't listen to what his patient has to say. I would not recommend this doctor for my pet, even if this doctor is in your area, do yourself a great favor and go elsewhere, where you will be treated like a human being.
