I don't trust her because she acts like she is far superior than others. IDK why she was acting the way she was but my experience was quite unpleasant.

I second the review where they mentioned her know-it-all attitude, BUT if you push back she will answer your questions. There were a couple of times where that happened and my family advised me to change doctors. I should have listened, because later in my pregnancy she started pressuring me to have an unnecessary c-section. I know it was unnecessary because 1) research, but 2) she said “oh, sometimes if they’re busy they’ll send you back home since this c-section isn’t really considered necessary. So let’s hope that doesn’t happen” ?!?! Why are you trying to force me to schedule an unnecessary c-section. In the end I ended up with a very traumatic birth experience that I think would have been less traumatic if I had felt supported by her at all. I stayed because she and I had some personable conversations in the beginning and her office staff was friendly and I did not want to go through the hassle of changing doctors after being with her for several appointments. If she had even… mentioned a c-section earlier in my pregnancy I would have found a new doctor, but she waited til my last trimester to bring it up.

The first time I went for my prenatal visit I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room then another hour in the exam room. When she finally did show up the visit was quick. So quick in fact that she didn't bother telling me I was carrying multiples. I found out 2 weeks later at the ER. On the follow up visit I was waiting an hour again. She evidently has way too many patients. I sincerely hate how impersonal the office is. I had to find out that one of my twins was non-viable via a nurse rambling off notes on my chart. Information that I found out by shock the night before at the ER but was infuriated that she'd made this assessment weeks before without telling me. My husband was equally angry and didn't want me to even go see her again. The entire process of seeing her has been one screw up after another on her part. Now, I'm dealing with shock along with the emotional distress of my doctor not properly giving me information. On top of all that, she confused me with another patient. I… will not be returning to this doctor. I caution anyone else that does.

So I moved to Texas where I met the nicest of people with the biggest personalities. I felt being under Findley-Smiths care that I would have this same experience - wrong. She was always late, always spoke down on me as having a type A personality but she has the biggest attitude when you try to ask questions about procedures - I feel like it’s my body and I have a choice of the care my child as well as myself recieves. Fast forward to my labor, she told me that I look like the type to take an epidural - and I actually didn’t ; she wasn’t even a part of my laboring process, I literally had a random dr off of the floor because she was running late. The best thing she ever did though was refer me to Dr. Thomas Rowe, he specializes with high risk pregnancies and he made me laugh, he educated me, he took his time to check the ultrasounds behind his staff to take pictures and videos for me - he was just hands down amazing. I needed an emergency cerclage and he also removed it as well… in his office and it was painless. I have since moved out of Texas but I would literally move back just to be under his care

Making my appointment was easy, insurance was not a hassle either. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I've been coming here for years and have never had any issues. Yes, sometimes you have to wait longer but guess what at least you know she's not rushing her patients out, shes very attentive and a good listner. She's logical and have good bedside manners. And grant it, she deliver babies and other surgeries so if it's an emergency, yes she has to leave the clinic and go to hospital, it happens, it happened to me once but I understood because she had to come meet me at hospital, so sorry for anyone on here that my emergency affected your doctors visit. Have compassion folks and be a little more understanding and patience, it helps in this high stress society that believe they're privileged.

Dr. Finley was constantly running at least an hour behind on all but one of my appointments. As an OBGYN, I would expect the doc to make pregnant women feel welcomed and excited to ask questions about their pregnancy. Unfortunately, this was not the case for me. I looked forward to working with her nurse, who was very friendly, but I did not look forward to the quick paced, know it all personality of the doctor. I felt rushed and unheard. I was also given the okay to try a medicine that the doc had not researched. Her exact words were, "Try it out and let me know how that works for you." I was advised to have a C-section and when I asked questions, I felt as if I had no right to inquire. I have heard good things about Dr. Smith and wish that my experience was the same. If you are looking for a doctor who is straight forward and gets you in and out, no questions asked, then this is the doc for you. However, If you want a friendly doc who seems happy for you and is more than… happy to answer any and all questions, I suggest you find another doctor.

Odd experience, unprofessional and I will not return to this doctor.

Dr. Findley Joi is a wonderful caring doctor, you did a wonderful job on tying my tubes. I really would just like your staff to be more accomadating when scheduling appointments!!Thank you Dr.Findly-Joi

DONOT go to this Doctor

This woman's demeanor is atrocious. She has a god complex that needs to be checked. I have a wonderful ob-gyn, but unfortunately Dr. Findley-Smith was her on-call doctor. She did not follow procedure with the removal of the protective bandage over my cesarean incision & ended up tearing my skin off. The tears were more painful than the actual incision. The nurses (who were wonderful) were mortified with her actions but at the same time used to it because it was her. She berated all of the nurses so often that they avoided having to contact her at any cost. One of my nurses was even in tears after she was done with her. There is not enough time for me to go fully into it but I will say avoid her like the plague. I myself made a complaint on her & was informed she would no longer be practicing at her current practice, nor Clear Lake Regional. If you want a good idea of her call the nurses station (Postpartum) at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster Texas. I'm sure someone will give… you a glimpse of what to expect...
