Dr. Jolanta Dziok, MD

I had Dr Dziok as my daughter’s pediatrician when she was born since I was in a HMO and options were limited. I would definitely suggest going elsewhere if at all possible. My daughter had jaundice and issues gaining weight right after birth. She also had a tongue tie which caused a lot of pain (I was brought to tears, that’s how painful it was) while nursing. When I brought up my concerns, they were essentially brushed off and I was told to start formula or power through it and it may resolve on its own in three months. I decided to check back in with the lactation specialists who had seen me in the hospital who suggested that I have my daughter’s tongue tie repaired by an ENT, which would be a simple quick procedure in the office. Since I was on a HMO plan, I needed a referral from the pediatrician. I was told that I needed another appointment, since Dr Dziok had not documented the tongue tie. I went in for the appointment and was told it may be WEEKS until the referral was ready.… Meanwhile, my baby was not gaining weight and I was still having pain. After many phone calls back and forth, I got the office to expedite the referral and I had the tongue tie repaired by an ENT, who stated that it was a no brainer that she needed it. After the procedure my pain was gone and my baby started gaining weight. I switched pediatricians as soon as possible. They also forgot to give my child a vaccination. Absolutely would not recommend, if possible choose a different pediatrician.

One staff member, the receptionist who has been there for many years, has been continually rude. It was a welcome change when Dr. Dziok hired a new part-time recptionist who is pleasant and non condescending.
