Dr. Joleann Joey Trine

Joey Trine is a Board-Certified Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC-BC) a member of the Illinois Association of Adult Development and Aging (IAADA), and former program development chair for IAADA. She has more than 6 years of experience working with adults and seniors who are experiencing variations of grief, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, depression, impulse control, trauma, and issues in effective communication & boundaries. She graduated with her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, with Chi Sigma Iota honors in 2018. In sessions, Joey utilizes an eclectic approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), humanistic methods, Rogerian methods, emotionally-focused techniques, and dialectal behavior therapy (DBT). Joey recognizes progress is not linear and focuses on a team-based approach to counseling.
