Dr. Joleen Elaine Falkenburg, MD

Dr. Falkenburg is an incredible physician, and a rare one who combines both empathy and medical skills in her practice. She is also a 'no-nonsense' doctor who is straight forward, listens carefully and talks to her patient in simple terms. She has the intelligence and skills to be a highly paid specialist in a big city, but has chosen to stay as a rural family health care doctor, for which our area is very fortunate. In our case, she took care of our terminally ill mother, with her main focus on keeping her comfortable, instead of offering us false promises that she would get better. Dr. Falkenburg also has a holistic approach and does not prescibe un-necessary medicine simply to satisfy the patients. We hope she stays in the Black Hills to care for the young and old for years to come.

Dr. Falkenburg is one of the most genuinely caring Drs I've had the pleasure of being a patient. She does not do any uneeded diagnostic testing. My wife has also seen Dr. Joleen, resulting in a life saving diagnosis (which was missed by another Dr).
