Dr. Jolene Ann Singh, MD

Dr. Singh was amazing. During a surgical consult for a lumpectomy and lymph biopsy, she listened to my needs and future plans and was truly engaged with my experience. She was excited that my plans (no children) allowed her to operate in a way that would minimize scarring. On the day of surgery, the anesthesiologist tried to overpower my wishes/our plan for general anesthesia despite my poor history with local anesthesia. Dr. Singh immediately stood up for me and advocated for our agreed-upon plan. A few minutes later, I was set up with a new anesthesiologist without having to lift a finger or utter a single complaint—this may not have been her direct work, but it made me feel so much more relaxed knowing I was in good hands with a doctor that cared. The surgical site healed amazingly well and she continued to listen and address my concerns directly during our follow-up appointment. If you want a surgeon who listens to their patients, is passionate about perfecting their craft, doesn’t… allow personal biases to get in the way of patient care, and who makes sure they get plenty of face time with patients before operating to really understand their patients’ needs, you couldn’t be in better hands. It’s been over a year since surgery and I couldn’t possibly thank her enough for turning what could have been a harrowing and terrifying experience into a comfortable one.

Was referred to Dr. Singh for breast surgery. I feel like I won the surgeon lottery. At the initial consultation she instantly set my mind at ease. She is smart and provides compassionate care. What impressed me the most is how perceptive she is... almost like she could read my mind. I left the initial consultation with high expectations of her and she exceeded them on all accounts. She answered my questions during the initial consultation, before surgery, after surgery over email, and at my final post-op appointment. I'll be returning to her for any surgical needs I have in the future.

I had been having stomach pain and bloating for four days. My husband and daughter convince me on a Sunday afternoon to go in....I went to an Urgent Care and then sent to have an MRI done. It was determined that I needed an appendectomy, so the only hospital that had a bed available was Fairview Southdale. At 11:30 p.m. on a Sunday evening (7.11.21) Dr Singh and her on-call staff were there to help me. I was so thankful. I was afraid that it was such a sudden operation, but a nurse had told me that I'd love Dr. Singh "she's just great, you'll love her". When I met her before my surgery (I had been crying in fact), she was so warm, conforting, and genuine! I was feeling better just meeting her. My operation was a success and I am home recovering now. If there is any way to request a wonderful doctor and to stay in a wonderful hospital, she and Southdale are it. THANK YOU, DR SINGH and STAFF!!!! I'm forever grateful for your willingness to help someone at a very inconvenient… time! God bless all of you!!
