Dr. Jon Michael Bruce, MD

Compassionate and 100% Competent.....that is Dr. Jon Bruce! Having been diagnosed with a para esophageal hernia, I was referred to Dr. Bruce for surgery. I could not be more pleased with his skills and his post-surgical visits during my hospitalization. His detailed explanation of what he found during the surgery and his kind ways leaves me feeling completely honored to have him for my surgeon!!!

I started with Dr. Bruce in Jan. 2015. His bedside manner was awesome. He did not sugar coat what work we had to put in after the surgery, as far as proper diet and vitamins. I was made aware of complications, which are part of any type of surgery. As of today, May 2019, I have had 10 surgeries. NONE of my complications were surgeon caused/created. I fell into that 1% of patients that my body rebelled against the surgery. I became a complex case that challenged Dr. Bruce. It looks like I am on the road to recovery! Dr. Bruce listened to every detail, every explanation of what was going on. He had to think outside the box for a solution. He relied not only on his Baroatric experience, but his years of experience as a general surgeon and a military trauma surgeon. He saw symptoms of problems sometimes before I recognized it or told him about it. His attentiveness, communication, skills, up to date knowledge has allowed him to fix me every time my body decides to "break." I highly… recommend Dr. Bruce and have referred a couple of people to him. He has been able to fix other surgeons patients, because their original surgeon didnt listen or ignored their concerns and problems. There are times that I had to wait awhile to see him, but I was never rushed once he came in my room. They have adjusted scheduling and wait times have been reduced greatly, but no matter what Dr. Bruce does not rush his patients. I am forever grateful to have found him. He has set the nar high for all my other doctors!

I felt confident in Dr. Bruce from the first time I met him. He was very informative about my surgery and answered all of my questions. I’m a year out and have done better than I expected to ever do. I’ve had no complications and feel like a new person. I highly recommended him.

Dr. Bruce is a top notch doctor, i had my gastric sleeve with him last year and he is amazing. Very patient and would listen to all your questions and give you detailed answers to all of your concerns. His bed side manners are also very good and he has a great team to assist the patients with any inquiries. Not to mention the good service they offer for a year after the surgery..I cannot thank dr Bruce enough for the change he made to my life.. i am new person now.

Dr. Bruce has very good bed side manners. He is very friendly and compassionate. He makes you feel like you’ve known him a lifetime. H’s Very informative and explains everything very well, and assures you that he will take care of you! The staff is great!

Dr. Bruce gives you a feeling of trust. He leaves you feeling that he has your best interest foremost in his decision making about your care.

He is awesome and the staff is wonderful.

My surgery results exceeded expectations

I was referred to Dr. Bruce by my gynocologist to remove a massive amount of scar tissue, he is an awesome doctor and I can't say enough good things about him, very caring and confident in his abilities as a surgeon, I felt completely safe in his hands, Dr. Bruce has performed two surgeries on me, and I would recommend him to anyone.
