I have been a solo general practitioner in Fairfield since 1976 and enjoy practicing the art and science of dentistry every day. I enjoy treating people of all ages and providing care to the best of my ability. I believe prevention is the key to good oral health but I take many hours of continuing education courses each year to stay current with the most update treatment methods and materials. Care I provide ranges from the simplest of fillings to root canals, crowns, bridges, cosmetic bonding, veneers, partial dentures, full dentures and the most complex full mouth rehabilitation cases.
When I am not treating patients, I am very active in organized dentistry. I am a member of the American Dental Association and have been a Delegate or Alternate Delegate to our House of Delegates since 2008, the Bridgeport Dental Association, which I was President in 2004-2005, and the Connecticut State Dental Association, which I was elected President for the 2010-2011 term.
I …also belong to the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists. These are both service oriented outreach organizations serving both dentists and the public.
In my own community, I volunteer for the annual Connecticut State Dental Association sponsored Give Kids A Smile program. This is a program which delivers free dental care to children in need. I also participate in the State sponsored dental Medicaid program through the Connecticut Oral Health Partnership, formerly known as HUSKY. In addition to these activities, I participate in a program called DDS - Donated Dental Services. This is an organization that matches patients with disabilities to dentists willing to provide needed dental care to these individuals free of charge.
Anyone who has known me for a long time knows that sports have been an integral part of my life. I have always been involved in athletics, from playing Little League Baseball in Fairfield as a youngster to the present day in which I ride a bicycle more than one thousand miles a year. As my children were growing up, I was a volunteer youth soccer coach for about ten years, coaching both my son and daughter's teams. I also coached my son's and one of my daughter's Little League Baseball teams. On occasion, I still go to see their high school and college teams compete in baseball and soccer.
