Dr. Jon Paul Gockerman, MD

People writing negative things about Dr. Gockerman well he is the most intelligent doctor and the BEST in clinical research and stays up to date with everything so would you rather have the best or whine about beside manner which by the way is excellent. He is straight to the point no punches pulled doctor. Great man great doctor

I was transferred to Duke with a DX of Porphyria. Dr. Gockerman came into the room, told me I didn't have it. We argued. I went into a seizure breaking four vertebra. He needs to avoid people. He doesn't like them much. THAT SAID he is a very intelligent doc that caved-in to the facts...I had porphyria. It took a month in Duke Hosp. Tower to heal my back but I got my "expert" opinion. The guy is a jerk but if you need this kind of doc you could do worse...he knows his stuff.

I cannot believe that someone wrote Dr. Gockerman's bedside manner was not good. He always took the time to explain each detail of what was going on with the treatment. He took time with me, both at the office and in the hospital when he was on rounds. I can't say enough good things about him. He gave me hope, honest answers and made me feel extremely cared for.

Dr. Gockerman seems to be very intelligent. He should remain behind closed doors for his research efforts and not attend the beside of critically ill patients. His beside manner is cold, hard and rude. I would not recommend this doctor unless you are looking for someone that will treat you with the maximum amount of chemicals that will lead to an ugly death.
