Dr. Jon Ian Heller, MD

I would say if i hate to rate his staff it would be poor and Dr. Heller is pretty good. His staff is not professional at all. My first visit I was told I had to pay $200.00 up front . Which wasn't the real problem, the problem was I asked her if I has no insurance what a office visit would be and she said $80.00 so I didn't quit understand why someone with insurance had to pay $200.00 before the doctor would even look at me. The girl upfront couldn't explain that to me and had to get a manager, who told me if I overpaid I would get my money back. I was there , in pain , and said ok. But everyone should be on the same page if your asking someone to pay this amount before even being seen . I ended needing x-rays and a procedure which I didn't over pay overall. But the concept wasn't a good impression . The doctor was really helpful, altho he does speak fast I was able to understand my overall treatment . Despite my first impression my son needed a doctor as well for his foot. SO I came… back, doctor helpful again, he said we will reach out to his insurance and will take about 2-3 weeks . It is now going on 2 months. Being in the health care field I know insurance is not easy to deal with. What I am upset about is following up and someone stating they will call me back and they never do. I was physically in the office and asked for a follow up and was told I would get a call back. its been a week still no call back. I called to follow up AGAIN and she sounds annoyed at me. Now I am wondering if this delay is the insurance or the staff not doing their part if I cant even get a call back .I left a message for the office manger still no call back. Its unfortunate when a doctor is good and staff brings the office down with inconsistency.
